Day 1 - Arusha

Airport transfer with private vehicle and guide. Arusha is a city of northern Tanzania surrounded by some of Africa's most famous landscapes and national parks. Beautifully situated below Mount Meru on the eastern edge of the eastern branch of the Great Rift Valley, it has a pleasant climate and is close to Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Olduvai Gorge, Tarangire National Park, and Mount Kilimanjaro, as well as having its own Arusha National Park on Mount Meru. International flights arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, and regional flights use Arusha airport.

Day 2 - Arusha

Pick between two culture tours: The Ilkurot Masai Village or The Ng'iresi village. At the Ilkurot Masai Village you can hike the surrounding hills and see animal viewing like giraffe, zebra, rabbit, hyena, Thomson gazelle, dik dik and many more. Visit masai boma and see the real masai life style.Ng'iresi village offers a non for profit tour were you can look at several development projects in the villages(soil conservation, irrigation, bio gas, ect). Receive a guided tour to some farms on the green slopes of Mt. Meru, get to know the Wa-arusha culture and enjoy lunch prepared by the Juhudi women's group. Day 3 - Arusha - Ngorongoro

Your guide will meet you at your hotel in the morning to transfer you to Tarangire National Park. This drive will take approximately 1.5hrs. Enjoy a picnic lunch (included in tour price). On this afternoon drive you will notice the unusually shaped baobab trees, also known as the “upside-down tree”. Look up and you might find the tree climbing African pythons. This is one of the world's largest species of snakes, but do not worry, it is also a non-venomous species. Enjoy dinner (included in tour price).Overnight at the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge or luxury mobile camp. Here you are surrounded by natures haven, a mystical forest and tranquil environment, with a sense of calmness beyond words. "The Ngorongoro Crater is often called ‘Africa’s Eden’ and the ‘8th Natural Wonder of the World’. A massive extinct volcano, the sheet walls drop thousands of feet to a "Noah's Ark" of animals on the verdent floor below. Large herds of zebra, buffalo, antelope and wildebeest graze nearby while sleeping lions laze in the sun. At dawn, the endangered black rhino returns to the thick cover of the crater forests after grazing on dew-laden grass in the morning mist.

Day 4 - Ngorongoro

This morning you will depart from the Ngorongoro Conservation Area on your way to Lake Manyara. This drive usually takes about 1 hour. Enjoy lunch (included in tour price). Manyara is best known for baboons, have a look for herbivores such as hippos, impalas, elephants, wildebeests, buffalo, warthogs and giraffes. Giant fig trees and mahogany seen in the groundwater forest immediately around the park gates draw nourishment from the underground springs replenished continuously from crater highlands directly above the Manyara basin. Day 5 - Ngorongoro

Private transportation and guide in the Ngorongoro national park. Includes national park fees. You'll be up early this morning as you drive approximately 20 minutes from your camp or lodge to the main gates of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. There are only three roads that connect the crater rim with the crater floor, one for driving down, one for driving up and another that goes both ways. The crater is roughly 20 km/12 mi wide and 600 m/2,000 ft deep, once you've reached the top of the caldera it takes about 45 minutes to descend to the crater floor. The floor is home to a rich and highly concentrated wildlife. Some 20,000 mammals of size live there, including about 20 black rhinoceros, making the crater the best place in Tanzania to see the rhino. The crater floor also has one of the highest carnivore densities in the world. Lions, cheetahs, hyenas and jackals are commonly seen, while leopards, servals and bat-eared foxes may be seen with some good luck. Enjoy lunch (included in tour price). Day 6 - Ngorongoro - Arusha

Hike the hills of Ngorongoro with a local guide. Prices may vary depending on accommodation. Leave Ngorongoro and drive to Arusha for some shopping before catching your flight. Includes opportunity to visit local handicrafts market to stock up on souvenirs. Depart from Kilimanjaro international airport - end of itinerary.
